Problem statement .
Nike’s equipment customization process for professional athletes was inefficient, labor-intensive, and prone to human error. The reliance on manual design adjustments and file exports led to frequent delays, inconsistencies in production, and a lack of seamless collaboration between designers and athletes. There was a need for an intuitive, interactive, and error-free system that could streamline customization while maintaining precision in design specifications.
Solution .
We developed the Nike Equipment Builder, an advanced customization tool that allows Nike designers and professional athletes to personalize their gear effortlessly. The solution ensures seamless real-time design adjustments, instant color and material selection, and precise manufacturing specifications. It features an Admin Application for Nike designers, an Athlete View for players to modify their gear, and a Dashboard for tracking orders. A PDF export feature captures all customization details, eliminating manual errors and ensuring direct factory-ready outputs.
Mini Design System
To enhance Nike’s design workflow, we developed a mini design system that brings structure and harmony to their UI elements. This system establishes a unified framework for colors, typography, and reusable components, enabling seamless scalability across platforms.
